Pay Range: $38.50 – $57.00/hour (based on experience)

Overview

A large inpatient behavioral health program in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead clinical and operational performance across a multi-unit behavioral health service line.

This role oversees a high-capacity behavioral health department serving children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, with full responsibility for staffing, quality, compliance, and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the behavioral health department
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and team performance
• Drive clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
• Manage departmental budget, productivity, and resource utilization
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and care standards
• Collaborate with physicians, executive leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
• Improve patient satisfaction and overall care delivery
• Serve as liaison between staff, patients, and lead

Required:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 5+ years leadership experience in Behavioral Health (Director or strong Manager level in acute care setting)

Required Upon Hire:

• Master’s Degree (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

Preferred:

• Experience managing large inpatient behavioral health units
• Strong background in regulatory compliance and operations
