TCT Ministries and Affiliates is a faith-based, non-profit Christian organization dedicated to sharing the Gospel and serving others with integrity, excellence, and compassion. This is a fully on-site position located in Akron, Ohio. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Job Summary

Oversee and manage the distribution strategies for the network’s programming across multiple platforms and the Ministry/Network’s Sub-channels. Develop and execute distribution plans, forging strategic partnerships with external media outlets, ensuring widespread network reach, and optimizing revenue/donation generation through distribution channels. Also includes the monetization and management of the Ministry’s network of station’s sub-channels. Participates as a part of the in executive team to ensure that distribution initiatives are aligned with the network’s broader goals and business objectives.

Essential Functions

1) Strategy Development & Execution:

Lead the development and execution of distribution strategies for TV network content, ensuring maximum reach and revenue generation across traditional, digital, and emerging platforms.

Develop long-term distribution plans and goals that align with the network’s overall business strategy.

Oversee the launch of new distribution initiatives and ensure that all operational processes are streamlined and efficient.

2) Partnerships & Negotiations:

Negotiate and manage agreements with cable operators (MVPD), satellite providers, OTT platforms, streaming services, OTA Networks and other media distributors.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key distribution partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and network growth.

Collaborate with the legal and finance teams to structure and finalize contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

3) Revenue Optimization:

Monitor and analyze distribution performance metrics to ensure profitability and identify new revenue opportunities.

Work to grow revenue through the Lease and or Revenue Share agreements on the Ministry’s Network of stations OTA Sub-channels.

Maximize the monetization potential of the Ministry’s/Network’s OTA Sub-Channels.

4) Content Distribution & Programming:

Oversee the scheduling and strategic placement of OTA Sub-channel networks to maximize viewer engagement and network exposure.

Ensure the effective distribution of Ministry Network (TCT) across linear and digital platforms, including cable, satellite, mobile, and internet services.

Work diligently to prioritize high-performing and relevant distribution systems and streaming Platforms for Ministry Network (TCT) distribution.

5) Market Analysis & Trends:

Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor distribution strategies to ensure the network remains competitive.

Conduct regular TV market analysis to identify growth opportunities and adapt distribution strategies accordingly.

6) Budget & Financial Management:

Develop and manage the distribution department’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet targets.

Monitor financial performance of distribution agreements and take corrective actions as needed to meet financial objectives.

Other Duties

Oversight and management of assigned corporate Capital Projects

Monitor and ensure adherence to FCC regulations, including content standards, technical requirements, and operational guidelines for Sub-Channel operations and agreements.

Lead and mentor a team of distribution professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to team members, fostering a positive work environment and motivating team to achieve performance goals.

Ensure that team members follow company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, maintaining consistent standards and practices.

Monitor and assess employee performance through regular check-ins, feedback, and performance reviews, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Identify training needs, facilitate skill development, and support career growth by recommending opportunities for employees to enhance their knowledge and abilities.

Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure alignment of distribution strategies with marketing, brand, and content teams.

Report to the executive team on performance metrics, distribution activities, and strategic initiatives.

Agreement with the Ministry’s Statement of Faith and Mission Objectives.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Media, or related field preferred and or Equivalent Experience.

Minimum 10-15 years of experience in TV network distribution, media sales, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong track record of negotiating high-level distribution agreements and managing large-scale distribution networks.

Deep understanding of the TV industry, including traditional and digital distribution platforms, and emerging technologies.

In-depth knowledge of FCC rules, regulations, and broadcasting industry standards.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations effectively.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position is based at the company’s Akron, Ohio offices, with occasional travel required to meet with distribution partners, attend industry events, and support business development initiatives.

The Director of Network Distribution will be expected to collaborate with senior leadership, network affiliates, and key stakeholders on a regular basis.

Ability to stand, sit, talk, and hear as needed for the role.

Ability to regularly sit for extended periods of time.

Typical office environment with moderate noise level.

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, carry, and reach.
