About the role

International marketplaces represent the fastest path to incremental revenue and category leadership outside the U.S. but scaling globally is complex. Amazon expansion requires deep operational rigor, local market understanding, disciplined PPC economics, and tight cross-functional execution.

We’re hiring a Director of International Marketplaces to be the single accountable owner for launching, scaling, and optimizing Amazon across priority international markets. This role will take Grüns from limited or early presence to fully operating, category-relevant businesses in each market while building repeatable playbooks we can use to expand into additional third-party marketplaces over time.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who has built international Amazon businesses before and knows how to scale profitably, not just fast.

Location:

While this role is part of our global remote HQ, we feel a candidate based in or around Europe will be most successful in this role.

The team members you’ll be working with most closely are in the Pacific time zones, so we ask that you are comfortable working a way that allows for some overlap in working hours to collaborate.

More generally, we operate in a fully remote, high trust environment with teammates across multiple countries and time zones. While we work async by default, we come together in person twice a year for offsites that help us connect, align, and build real relationships IRL.

In this role, you will:

• Launch and scale Amazon International across CA, UK, EU, ANZ, and SG—owning go-live, compliance, inventory flow, pricing, and account health end-to-end.

• Own listing excellence and conversion, including localization, keywords, PDP content (titles, bullets, A+, imagery, storefronts), bundles, and ongoing CRO.

• Lead international Amazon PPC with full ownership of structure, bidding, budgets, testing, and reporting—scaling spend while protecting TACoS, ACOS, and contribution margin.

• Build the international Amazon playbook, defining launch processes, operating cadence, testing frameworks, and SOPs to enable repeatable scale.

• Drive cross-functional execution across Supply Chain, Finance, Brand, Regulatory, and Product to manage inventory, VAT/GST, claims, labeling, and localization.

• Lay the foundation for future marketplaces (e.g., TikTok Shop, Mercado Libre) once Amazon is scaled.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 5–10+ years of hands-on Amazon experience (operator, not agency-only).

• Has launched and scaled Amazon in at least two international markets.

• Has driven growth through listing optimization, CRO, and PPC together.

• Brings experience in supplements, health, or regulated categories (strongly preferred).

• Is comfortable building from scratch as an IC before scaling support.

• Is fluent in Seller/Vendor Central, Amazon Ads, listing/SEO tools (Helium 10, Jungle Scout, DataHawk), Brand Registry, A+ Content, and Storefronts.

• Understands international compliance basics (VAT/GST, claims, labeling).

• Is strong in Excel/Sheets for unit economics, TACoS, contribution margin, and performance reporting.
