Role Overview

Orbital is seeking a Director of Marketing who will take operational and strategic ownership of all marketing related activity across Orbital. You will be responsible for building and leading a world class marketing function focused around both marketing the physical products to data centre customers while simultaneously marketing our world-class AI capabilities to the scientific community.

You will lead a team spanning across Content, Social Media, Design and more as well as cross functional collaboration with Engineering, Product and Sales teams in order to be at the forefront of Orbital’s global growth.

Key Responsibilities

Own Orbital’s Marketing Strategy

• Full ownership of Orbital’s marketing strategy that translates Orbital’s hardware and AI leadership into compelling commercial positioning and a magnetic brand.

• Work closely with C-suite to drive global growth of Orbital’s core product suite whilst continually owning Orbital’s developing hardware solutions brand.

• Personally lead and execute priority campaigns, stepping in as an individual contributor where needed to set the bar for quality, speed and technical storytelling across Orbital’s most strategic initiatives.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop a world class, multi-disciplinary marketing function spanning across Content, Social Media, Design and more.

• Cross functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Sales and Executive teams in order to lead a fully integrated marketing function that aligns strategy, content, demand generation and brand storytelling across technical products and solutions.

Brand Ownership

• Orchestrate high-impact global product launches and executive-level marketing across integrated channels, elevating Orbital’s data center portfolio through unified storytelling and standout industry engagement.

• Ensure Orbital’s presence at key global industry events shifting from standard booth presence to high-impact executive engagement.

• Showcase our world-class AI capabilities, highlighting how our models and agents enable us to deliver highly efficient products, positioning Orbital as a leader in Applied AI.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of strategic marketing leadership, owning and driving marketing strategy including extensive team management

• Bring proven experience marketing complex hardware or deep tech solutions, including product launches with technical validation and long sales cycles.

• Operate as a hands-on “player-coach,” setting strategy and driving execution while leading diverse teams to deliver world-class marketing output.

• Ability to craft narratives that convey Orbital’s AI-driven materials innovation in the hardware space

• Deep Tech or Industrial B2B Experience
