Director of Information Security

SoloPulse is seeking a technically elite Director of Information Security to serve as the primary authority for our corporate security architecture and technical defense. This role is designed for a "hands-on orchestrator" capable of managing complex federal compliance frameworks while collaborating deeply with our engineering teams.

In this role, you will initially serve as the FSO of Record, holding ultimate legal responsibility for the Facility Security Clearance (FCL). As the company grows, this specific administrative "Control Point" function may transition to executive leadership to ensure a robust "Separation of Duties" for federal audits.

Key Responsibilities

• FSO of Record (Initial Phase): Serve as the primary "Control Point" for the DCSA; manage the FCL process from inception to full certification and oversee administrative functions performed by ISI.

• Technical Compliance Authority: Lead the architectural design and technical implementation of CMMC Level 2and RMF frameworks for classified and CUI enclaves.

• Independent Audit Oversight: Conduct mandatory weekly technical audit reviews of system logs (in coordination with Propel IT) to ensure continuous NIST 800-171 compliance.

• Engineering & Data Liaison: Partner with the engineering team to categorize data and develop secure-by-design workflows that protect IP without hindering R&D velocity.

• Insider Threat Leadership: Act as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO), integrating network telemetry with personnel behavioral indicators to minimize organizational risk.

• Vendor Orchestration: Serve as the primary technical lead for our third-party security and IT partners, ensuring all external outputs meet SoloPulse’s rigorous standards.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in Information Security with specific depth in Security Engineering and Industrial Security.

• Clearance: Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance.

• Certification: Must meet DoD 8140/8570 IAM Level III requirements (e.g., CISSP).

• Technical Depth: Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and the management of secure-cloud/web-based security stacks.

• Leadership: Proven ability to manage multi-vendor environments and translate technical vulnerabilities into "business risk" for executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Site Security Officer (SSO) or FSO for a cleared facility.

• Expertise in Data Categorization and managing secure enclaves for high-growth R&D environments.

• Completion of the CDSE FSO Curriculum

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field
