About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Director of Performance Marketing to join the UK team. As the Director of Performance Marketing in the UK, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our UK brands, HelloFresh and GreenChef. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping data-driven strategies, fostering innovation, building and empowering a high-performing team. What you’ll do

• Drive UK Performance – Fully own the UK Growth marketing P&L for HelloFresh and Green Chef; acquisition, reactivation, and referrals.

• Develop & Execute Growth Strategy – Lead the end-to-end growth strategy for HelloFresh and GreenChef, developing data-driven strategies, balancing brand-building and performance marketing for sustainable and profitable growth.

• Lead & Scale a High-Performing Team – Manage performance marketing teams and local channels, offering strategic direction, mentorship, and support, all while nurturing a culture defined by humility and curiosity.

• Champion Innovation & Growth – Identify and capitalize on emerging marketing channels, trends, and customer insights to drive incremental growth.

• Drive Cross-Functional Impact – Collaborate with Brand, Marketing Analytics, Discounts, Growth Partnerships and Retail Media to create a holistic UK growth strategy that fuels growth across locally owned and centralised channels

• Discount strategy - Take ownership of the Green Chef UK discount strategy, providing strategic guidance on discount pipeline to find the balance between reducing discount spend without eroding TCVA

• Conversion Rate Optimization - Advise on conversion rate optimization and ensure a strong testing roadmap, building relationships with local and global stakeholders.

• Drive Local Intent – Align with central marketing teams to adapt global strategies to unlock local growth opportunities, ensuring prioritisation to maximise growth potential across acquisition, reactivation, and referrals, alongside consideration of local consumers and business needs

What you’ll bring

• Track record - Proven track record of success with fast progression in previous roles. Deep experience navigating growth cycles - from the "building" phase in startups to "optimizing and scaling" within mid-to-large D2C or e-commerce organizations.

• Channel expertise vs. macro perspective - The ability to zoom in on granular channel mechanics (both online and offline) across the customer lifecycle (Acquisition, Virality and Reactivations) while managing a holistic marketing mix, ensuring every channel works together to drive demand

• Operational excellence - An obsession with identifying and addressing "limiting factors." You thrive in high-accountability environments and have a track record of managing large budgets against clear financial targets.

• Customer-Centric Innovation - A passion for leveraging customer insights as a springboard for testing new channels and growth hacks that unlock new and existing market segments.

• Executive Influence - Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at the C-suite level and drive cross-functional collaboration

• High analytical and commercial acumen - You remain composed under pressure, using data to make informed decisions and "challenging fairly" to drive the best outcomes for the business.
