Director of Finance & Corporate Services
Full Time | Permanent
Salary: $110,000–$125,000 annually
Ruth & Naomi’s Mission has been serving the Chilliwack community for over 20 years. From handing out sandwiches to people experiencing homelessness in downtown Chilliwack, we have grown to operate multiple locations and services across the community, supporting hundreds of individuals each day through shelter, meals, recovery programming, and supportive services.
As a Christian faith-based organization, our vision is to see lives transformed through the love of God. We are seeking a Director of Finance & Corporate Services to join our leadership team and help steward the financial health, operational infrastructure, and organizational effectiveness that support this mission.
Position Summary
The Director of Finance & Corporate Services provides strategic and operational leadership across finance, facilities, information systems, and corporate infrastructure to support strong service delivery and sustainable organizational growth.
As a key member of the leadership team, this role supports organizational alignment and execution of priorities across departments by ensuring financial strategy, operational infrastructure, and corporate services are integrated with leadership direction and mission impact.
This position oversees the Finance Team and Operations Manager, supporting strong coordination across finance, IT systems, facilities, health and safety, and corporate services.
Details About This Role
This position plays a central leadership role in:
Financial planning, forecasting, and reporting
Program costing and sustainability planning
Grant budgeting and compliance
Risk management, insurance, and contracts oversight
Facilities, systems, and infrastructure stewardship
Strengthening organizational processes and decision-making through financial insight
Supporting leadership teams with scenario planning and strategic evaluation of initiatives
Identifying opportunities to leverage systems and emerging technologies (including AI) to improve efficiency and impact
This role partners closely with program and department leaders to support decisions that balance mission impact, operational capacity, and financial sustainability.

Success in this role includes:
Accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Strong audit outcomes and regulatory compliance
Effective cost management and program sustainability
Well-managed facilities, systems, and organizational assets
High-functioning finance and operations teams with clear accountability and performance
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
CPA designation required
Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in finance and/or operations
Experience in nonprofit, social services, or multi-site environments considered an asset
Experience overseeing multiple corporate service functions preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong financial acumen and analytical capability
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into action
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
Strong systems thinking and process improvement mindset
Effective leadership and cross-department collaboration skills

Compensation
We offer:
Salary of $110,000–$125,000, depending on experience

This role is:
Full time, in-office (Monday–Friday, typically 8:00am–4:00pm)
Based in Chilliwack, BC
