Position Summary
BoxHouse Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced Director of Factory Certification & Regulatory Standards to oversee all compliance and state certification activities for our factory-built housing portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring every BoxHouse model and every domestic or international manufacturing facility meets all required safety standards, building codes, and third-party certification requirements.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in manufacturing compliance, facility audits, and working directly with regulatory agencies and certification bodies such as state authorities, NTA ICC, RADCO/Twining Consulting, or similar firms.
Key Responsibilities
Lead certification and compliance efforts for all BoxHouse housing models and manufacturing partners.
Oversee certification programs for factory-built housing facilities, including routine and special audits.
Conduct or coordinate facility inspections and compliance assessments.
Verify all supplier materials, components, and assemblies meet certification and approval standards.
Manage all documentation, approvals, audit records, and inspection reports across multiple jurisdictions.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Product teams to ensure full certification readiness prior to production release.
Maintain strong relationships with state agencies, third-party inspection firms, and regulatory authorities.
Continuously monitor code updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
Experience with modular, panelized, manufactured, or factory-built housing strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of U.S. building codes and third-party certification processes.
Background in regulatory compliance, manufacturing quality assurance, or facility auditing.
Excellent documentation, reporting, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and factory locations simultaneously.
Experience working with certification bodies such as NTA ICC, RADCO/Twining Consulting, PFS TECO, or similar firms is a plus.
Ability to travel as needed for audits and facility visits.
