About This Role:

Crusoe is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Programs and Systems to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our corporate EH&S framework. This vital role serves as the key liaison with the Senior Director of Safety and is responsible for ensuring consistent, high-impact safety and environmental performance across all business units, including manufacturing and construction operations.

The successful candidate will be a systems-thinker with a proven track record in establishing robust, data-driven, and scalable corporate EH&S solutions. You will be responsible for moving the department from reactive tracking to proactive risk prediction through the implementation of advanced management systems and analytics.

What You’ll Be Working On:

• Strategic Leadership & Governance: Act as the primary strategic partner to the Senior Director of Safety. Oversee the development and standardization of all corporate EH&S procedures, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with global, federal, and local regulations.

• EH&S Data & Systems Management: Lead the selection, acquisition, and implementation of corporate EH&S data management solutions (e.g., EHS-MIS, incident tracking, compliance platforms).

• Analytics & KPIs: Establish and oversee EH&S Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Utilize data analytics to identify trends, predict risks, and prioritize enterprise-wide improvement initiatives.

• Program Management: Provide corporate oversight for the workers' compensation program, working with HR and Legal to manage claims and implement proactive loss control measures.

• Training Strategy: Direct the corporate EH&S training strategy, including the development of standardized content and the utilization of Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track organization-wide compliance.

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of corporate safety engineers, providing technical expertise and strategic direction as they support manufacturing and construction business units.

• Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with Operations, Construction, HR, and Finance to integrate EH&S requirements into core business processes and foster a culture of safety excellence.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive EH&S management experience, with at least 5 years in a corporate or multi-site leadership role. Experience in both manufacturing and construction environments is highly desirable.

• Certification: Professional certification (CSP, CIH, CPE, or equivalent) is required.

• Regulatory Expertise: Deep expertise in U.S. OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory standards.

• Systems Proficiency: Proven ability to select and implement enterprise-level EH&S data management systems.

• Risk Management: Strong understanding of workers' compensation management, risk financing, and loss control strategies.

• Leadership: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of a high-growth organization.

• Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Bonus Points:

• Experience leading EH&S for a vertically integrated technology or energy company.

• Direct experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 management system implementation.

• Advanced knowledge of environmental sustainability reporting and ESG frameworks.
