This is a direct placement with our Client - you will be our Client’s direct full-time employee w/ full benefits. This is Not a staffing role thru JetBridge.
We’re hiring a Director of Software Engineering, reporting directly to the CTO, to lead execution, delivery discipline, and operational excellence across the engineering organization.
This role lets you be both a hands-on coder as well as a manager/mentor to an expanding team of 8+ engineers, with opportunities to grow with this organization.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end delivery across Agile/Scrum teams, ensuring clear timelines, milestones, and accountability.
- Optimize development processes to improve flow, quality, and delivery predictability.
- Partner closely with Product Management to align engineering execution with business priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering organization, including managers and technical leads.
- Establish and track engineering metrics (velocity, cycle time, quality, on-time delivery) and provide execution visibility.
- Anticipate and resolve delivery risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.
- Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term technical excellence and scalability.
- Champion modern engineering practices and AI-enabled tools to improve team efficiency and reliability.
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10 years of software engineering experience, including 3–5+ years in leadership roles.
- Experience scaling and optimizing engineering teams in high-growth environments.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and delivery planning.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and leadership skills.
- Background in SaaS or technology-driven organizations preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
