Compensation:
• Salary Range: $78,894 – $140,000 (annualized, based on experience)
• Incentive Bonus: 17.5% – 26.25%
• Sign-On Bonus: Available (case by case)
• Relocation Assistance: Available (case by case)
Overview
This leadership role oversees Emergency Services operations for a community-based acute care hospital serving a high-acuity patient population. The Director of Emergency Services is responsible for clinical excellence, operational performance, staffing, and financial stewardship while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care. This position plays a critical role in advancing department growth initiatives, including future expansion planning.
Responsibilities
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and labor management for approximately 50 FTEs
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for the department
• Drive quality, safety, throughput, and patient experience metrics
• Develop, implement, and sustain departmental policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary leaders to support clinical excellence and service line growth
• Prepare the department for future expansion and evolving community needs
• Build and maintain a high-engagement, high-accountability team culture
Required
• Bachelor’s degree (or approved equivalent education plan)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or active compact license
• Minimum of 1 year of applicable emergency services leadership or management experience
• Demonstrated performance outcomes and measurable accomplishments listed on résumé
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Master’s degree
• 3+ years of progressive emergency services leadership experience
• Recent Emergency Department Manager experience in a comparable setting
