Compensation:
• $102,107 – $140,000 annually (based on experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (non-internal candidates)

Overview
A high-acuity acute care hospital in Tampa is seeking an experienced Director of Case Management to lead hospital-wide care coordination, utilization management, and discharge planning operations. This executive-level leadership role is responsible for aligning clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship while driving measurable outcomes across interdisciplinary teams.
This opportunity is well-suited for a seasoned RN or Social Work leader with a strong operational background in acute care case management who is ready to influence system-wide performance and patient flow.
Responsibilities
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all hospital case management functions
• Direct daily departmental operations, including staffing models, skill mix, FTE management, and onboarding
• Ensure effective care coordination and discharge planning processes that support quality, timeliness, and patient safety
• Oversee documentation standards, utilization management practices, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with executive leadership, including finance, nursing, medical staff, and ancillary departments
• Analyze performance data and lead sustainable performance improvement initiatives
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements
• Foster strong relationships with physicians, nursing leaders, legal, ethics, and compliance partners
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Active licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
• Minimum 3 years of acute care hospital case management experience
• Minimum 2 years of case management leadership experience in an acute care setting
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or Business Administration
• Experience leading case management programs in high-volume or complex hospital environments
• Strong financial acumen and performance improvement expertise
