The Director of Marketing Operations serves as a critical strategic partner across the organization, collaborating closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, and key external agencies. This leader drives operational excellence, elevates executional standards, and accelerates speed‑to‑market within a highly regulated and scientifically complex environment.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Commercial Effectiveness & Training, this role will focus on three key areas to support North America:

1. Content Governance & Deployment Leadership

• Provide strategic oversight of Sobi North America’s end‑to‑end content management ecosystem, including Medical, Legal & Regulatory Review Committee (SRC) operations, print/fulfillment workflows, and CLM material deployment.
• Ensure content development and review processes are tightly aligned to franchise strategies and annual brand planning cycles.
• Chair Sobi’s Executive Review Committee, serving as a central integrator across cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, and consistent content approvals.

2. Modernization & Innovation Initiatives

• Lead modernization efforts that strengthen operational efficiency, including implementation of modular content models and the integration of AI‑enabled tools within MLR workflows.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve speed and quality, and enhance systems supporting content creation and review.

3. Marketing Enablement & Operational Excellence

• Guide cross‑functional teams through marketing enablement initiatives that reinforce best practices, elevate operational capability, and support continuous improvement.
• Drive planning and governance processes that support annual functional planning, agency management, and operational readiness across Commercial and CXI&O initiatives.
• Act as a strategic problem‑solver, providing structure, clarity, and high‑value project management support for key business priorities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promotional Review 

• Executive oversight, escalations, and metrics
• Review system oversight in partnership with Global (and representation of NA interests)
• Reviewer and submitter onboarding and training
• Policies, SOPs, and Vendor Partner governance

Modernization & Innovation

• Advance strategic cross-functional initiatives
• Industry trends and evaluation of new capabilities
• Process innovation roadmap (in partnership with Omnichannel COE)
• Modular content leadership
• Digital asset management

Marketing Enablement & Operations

• Drive change management
• AOR Governance & Best Practices 
• Annual Brand & Functional Planning
• General project management support for CxI&O

To succeed in the scope, this person will need to:

• Communicate effectively to leadership on large scale initiatives including launches, label updates, etc.
• Develop and maintain strong working partnerships across organization to ensure cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and communicate potential conflicts to leadership

 

• BS/BA preferred
• ~10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech company
• Experience with Veeva Suite: Vault PromoMats, CLM, required
• Understanding of advertising and promotional process
• Proficiency working in regulated operations environment
• Strong project management skills
• Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Prior team leadership and cross-functional team leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and reporting on business metrics and KPIs
• Experience in rare disease preferred

The base salary range for this role is $175,000-$235,000. Each individual offer will be determined based on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, and location. Additionally, this role is eligible for both short-term and long-term bonuses, as outlined in the plan details.
