Role Summary and Impact

We are seeking a Director to join our Data Strategy team for our client.

Data Strategy involves transforming the way our clients think about, organize and orchestrate data & technology to deliver more timely, engaging and meaningful brand experience for their customers.

The main focus area of this role are;

Data-led audience and bidding strategy and enablement;

• Lead the development of data‑driven audience, bidding and activation strategies across addressable channels and product categories.

• Oversee test‑and‑learn frameworks, ensuring insights are translated into scalable recommendations and best practice.

• Own data strategy ways of working across the campaign lifecycle, from briefing through optimisation and learning.

• Develop and maintain audience and activation playbooks to drive consistency, quality and effectiveness.

• Partner with transformation and planning leads to ensure broader initiatives are thoughtfully embedded into campaign activity and measurement frameworks.

Technology Project Ownership;

• Own large‑scale data and technology workstreams, from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Lead cross‑functional initiatives spanning data platforms, media systems and operational processes.

• Ensure delivery is structured, outcome‑focused and measured against defined success criteria.

Cross-functional Collaboration;

• Be a conduit between technical and less technical teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and client objectives and speaking in the correct data language to the clients.

• Work with the client and agency teams to define, justify and request future signals and data products which can drive the clients business goals.

Management

• This role oversees the work and development of Data Strategy Manager and a Data Strategy Associate.

Skills and Experience

• Deep interest in Media & Technology: An understanding of and desire to learn more about data products, AI, technology, and trends within the advertising and marketing industry with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Customer Focus: A relentless focus on client success, with a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences and driving long-term relationships.

• Communication and Presentation Skills: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, as this role hinges on effective interaction with clients and agency partners.

• Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment

• 6+ years digital agency-side working on a data-led role either agency, vendor or client side, with a strong emphasis on digital paid media.

• Highly developed interpersonal, team building and relationship management skills

• Understanding of the importance of privacy first media and what that means for how we need to do things differently
