Your Mission

Join the world’s leading local delivery platform and play a defining role in strengthening our global governance foundation. As Director, Governance, Risk & Compliance, your mission is to connect strategy with execution—aligning regional and Group-level GRC capabilities into a single, high-impact operating model. Through collaboration, transparency, and smart use of data and technology, you will empower our European GRC network to deliver consistent, scalable, and future-ready governance. By building strong partnerships across Risk Assurance, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Data Privacy, you will help embed trust, resilience, and accountability into everything we do, enabling Glovo to keep growing responsibly, sustainably, and with high levels of assurance.

In the Journey You Will:
Engage with senior leadership to set the Tone at the Top: Drive a strong, enterprise-wide risk, compliance and controls culture through consistent executive-level communication, ensuring risk and compliance assessment is embedded in strategic decision-making, the allocation of resources and in the operational planning & execution.
Own the European GRC Framework: Design, implement, and continuously enhance a proactive Group-level Risk, Compliance, and Internal Assurance framework across all European brands, aligned with global standards and local requirements.
Provide the Glovo leadership teams with actionable and timely insights that you and your team have obtained by performing periodical and ad-hoc risk assessments and tests-of-effectiveness on critical process controls.
Act as a Strategic Business Partner: Advise senior European business leaders on emerging risk exposure and relevant regulatory developments, complex compliance topics, and pragmatic risk mitigation strategies that support sustainable growth.
Embed a Culture of Integrity, Ethics and Compliance: Lead initiatives that integrate ethical behavior, accountability, and proactive compliance into everyday business practices across the region.
Drive Operational Excellence: Evaluate, select, and roll out GRC technology solutions to automate and streamline compliance and assurance processes, improving efficiency, consistency, and visibility.
Build Trusted Stakeholder Relationships: Establish strong, transparent partnerships with local management, Group leadership, and regulators, ensuring alignment and credibility across all GRC matters.
Lead and Grow the GRC Organization: Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, international GRC team with clear ownership and accountability for European markets.
What You Bring
Deep GRC Expertise: Comprehensive, hands-on understanding of mandatory Governance, Risk, and Compliance requirements for European publicly listed, multinational organizations, including the ability to translate regulatory expectations into practical business solutions.
A strategic mind, coupled with a can-do mindset: At Glovo, we expect our leaders to be both the brains and the brawn. In practice that means that you bring solutions to identified issues and challenges, and that you also drive the implementation and execution of the measures and activities that will allow the company to keep on moving forward. Strong Financial Acumen: Proven ability to understand, interpret, and explain financial statements, supported by a solid grasp of corporate financial and non-financial reporting processes and controls, including CSRD/ESG NFR.
Advanced Legal & Compliance Capability: Demonstrated experience managing complex and sensitive business integrity and ethics matters, including potential financial crimes such as fraud, corruption, and embezzlement. Skilled in fact-finding, confidential internal investigations, whistleblower case management, and stakeholder communication.
GRC Systems & Technology Savvy: Solid understanding of, and hands-on experience with, enterprise risk and compliance systems such as JIRA, SAP GRC, ESQ, ERM, CAMMS, OneStream, or comparable platforms, with the ability to leverage technology to drive efficiency and transparency.

Leadership & Influence: A collaborative leadership style with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders, build trust across cultures and geographies, and lead high-performing international teams.
