As part of regulatory and strategic requirements, we are seeking a seasoned banking professional to join as Director – BFS Advisory on a visiting consultant basis. This role will provide senior-level banking expertise and strategic guidance during the NBFC licensing phase and may evolve post-licensing based on regulatory outcomes and business needs.

Role Scope
Phase 1: Pre-License (Advisory Phase)
• Serve as a visiting Director / Consultant during the NBFC licensing process
• Provide strategic guidance on NBFC structuring, governance, and operational readiness
• Strengthen the RBI license application through deep banking and regulatory expertise
• Act in an advisory capacity with a limited, flexible time commitment
Phase 2: Post-License (If License Is Obtained)
• Potential transition into a more involved advisory or operational role
• Increased participation in day-to-day strategic and governance matters
• Possibility of full-time or expanded engagement based on mutual interest and business requirements
Note: RBI licensing timelines are subject to regulatory discretion. This engagement is designed to remain flexible and may evolve based on licensing outcomes.
Candidate Profile
Essential Criteria
• Minimum 20 years of banking experience
• Regional-level leadership or higher in a nationalised / public sector bank
• Impeccable service record with no vigilance cases, penalties, or adverse findings
• Currently retired or approaching retirement
• Willingness to travel to Surat, Gujarat on a visiting basis
Preferred Experience
• Background in credit, lending, risk management, or compliance
• Strong understanding of RBI regulations and banking operations
• Established professional credibility and network within the banking ecosystem
Engagement & Compensation
• Monthly retainer (to be discussed based on profile and level of involvement)
