About the Role

The Director, AI Solutions leads the design and implementation of AI curriculum generation that transform complex client requirements into scalable, quality-controlled instructional materials. This role synthesizes standards, district/client specifications, compliance constraints, and instructional frameworks into structured AI architectures to produce a high-integrity V1 curriculum ready for human refinement and production. Working cross-functionally with learning and school solutions, project management, and production teams, the Director ensures AI systems increase operational efficiency, reduce time and cost, and elevate overall curriculum quality across large-scale district and state engagements.

CSA Education / Zia Learning is an entirely remote company with offices based in downtown Chicago. Applicants can be anywhere within the United States.

Lead the strategic design of AI-driven K–12 education models, curriculum, and instructional supports, ensuring alignment with project requirements, client expectations, state standards, and approved instructional frameworks.

Architect and oversee project-wide AI prompt infrastructure, translating education standards, client/district requirements, needs analysis, instructional documentation, curriculum models, exemplar prototypes, templates, and compliance constraints into scalable, modular generation systems.

Own the integrity, consistency, and scalability of AI-generated V1 materials, ensuring outputs reflect instructional coherence, UDL integration, and standards alignment logic, prior to handoff to the team for human review and production.

Direct the AI content team in establishing workflow pipelines, version control processes, and continuous optimization loops across projects.

Partner with learning and school solutions, production, and project management teams to ensure AI systems reflect project needs, expected outcomes, and requirements, and proactively identify structural risks or misalignments before content generation begins.

Oversee AI tool stack, generation methodologies, and innovation strategy, continuously evaluating emerging technologies while safeguarding proprietary backward design models and digital frameworks.

Supervisory Responsibility

The AI Systems Director will manage independent contractors and coordinate with project managers. Managing contractors entails ownership of AI phase timelines, budget, and quality in coordination with project managers and with accountability to the Senior Executive team.

At least 5 years of experience in K–12 curriculum development, instructional systems design, education technology, or enterprise content architecture, with demonstrated responsibility for large, multi-phase projects.

Proven experience designing scalable, repeatable systems that translate complex client requirements, standards, and documentation into structured frameworks or generation models.

Demonstrated expertise in AI-assisted content generation and prompt architecture, including building modular, version-controlled workflows across multiple concurrent projects.

Experience leading cross-functional teams while maintaining quality control, timeline integrity, and adaptability across varied client contexts.

Experience leading cross-functional technical and instructional teams.

Proven ability to synthesize large volumes of diverse client materials, specifications, templates, and compliance requirements into modular AI generation architectures that can scale across varied project contexts.
