Title and Summary
Director, Agent Suite - Solutions Architect
About Mastercard Agent Suite
Mastercard Agent Suite is Mastercard’s global product for building, testing, and deploying agentic AI in enterprise operations—bringing payments expertise, proprietary technology, and insights into client environments. Solutions Enablement is building Agent Suite Services to define how agentic AI is deployed safely at enterprise scale; early joiners will help write the playbook.
The Role
As a Director-level Solutions Architect, you are the forward deployed technical authority for Agent Suite—designing compliant, resilient agentic systems that integrate Mastercard assets into real client infrastructure.
This is a player coach role in a guild model: you own engagements and contribute reusable patterns, reference architectures, and field learnings to the global Services community.
Solutions Architecture and Technical Project Management operate as inseparable partners: the SA owns technical integrity from discovery through validated POC; from POC sign off the TPM governs delivery through production and handover, with the SA remaining the standing technical authority. Early joiners will shape Agent Suite Services standards and culture as it scales.
Operating with Excellence and Integrity
In highly regulated industries, trust is the product: privacy, security, auditability, and compliance (Mastercard policies and client regulations) are foundational—not end-stage checks. Agentic AI is moving fast, but velocity must reinforce integrity.
What You Will Do
Design and Enable Deployment
-Design and support deployments inside client infrastructure (cloud/data/LLM agnostic) that integrate Mastercard assets and fit client agent strategies.
-Translate Mastercard's technology platforms, payments intelligence, and advisory capabilities into working architectures that a client CTO can trust and a client CFO can justify
-Own technical solutioning from discovery and architecture through validated proof of concept, working in close partnership with the Technical Project Manager who assumes primary delivery accountability from POC sign-off through production
-Build systems designed for robustness and resilience — with full auditability, appropriate guardrails, and clear visibility and observability throughout
Sense and Signal
-Codify best practices from client work; separate durable signal from noise.
-Provide structured feedback to Product/Engineering/GTM/Partnerships on outcomes, requirements, and emerging risks/opportunities.
-Build deep Agent Suite expertise and payments ecosystem intuition; identify portfolio gaps.
-Create reusable reference architectures, integration patterns, and accelerators.
Navigate and Collaborate
-Operate effectively in a fast-evolving, cross functional environment; build alignment and common ground.
-Represent Mastercard technical standards and trust expectations with clients and partners.
-Support pre sales as the technical voice, then stay engaged through delivery as the technical authority.
What We Are Looking For
We Relentlessly Care About the What and About the How
-Decency Quotient: We hire for IQ, EQ, and DQ; elevate others and build trust across functions.
-Technical depth + client fluency: Explain architecture and business impact to the C suite.
-Comfort with ambiguity: Decide with incomplete information; own outcomes; adapt quickly.
-Curiosity + prioritization: Pursue depth where it matters most; apply rigorous judgment.
-Giver’s mindset: Share what you learn; strengthen the team, not just individual outcomes.
-Team & diversity: Seek different perspectives; value collective resilience as much as excellence.
Technical Requirements
-Proven track record in solutions architecture/technical consulting/FDE (fintech, payments, or enterprise AI preferred).
-Integration experience with core banking, ERP (SAP/Oracle/Workday), or treasury systems.
-Strong API design, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native delivery across 2+ of Azure/AWS/GCP.
-Hands-on agentic AI frameworks/orchestration (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, Copilot Studio) incl. cost/latency trade offs, context engineering, and observability.
-Fluent English plus required local market language.
What Will Set You Apart
-Knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act, PCI DSS) and local equivalents.
-Experience with Mastercard APIs, open banking standards, or ISO 20022.
-Distinct depth (“professional minor”) such as security architecture, data modelling, conversational AI, context engineering/agent orchestration, or regtech.
-Proven ability across different regulatory contexts, stacks, and cultures of trust.
The Kind of Professional We Are Looking For
In summary, you pair technical excellence with genuine care for the people and organizations served. You treat policy and regulation as the foundation of responsible innovation and show integrity through delivery decisions in high stakes environments.
Why Now
Agent Suite launched in January 2026. Early Agent Suite Services architects will define the reference architectures, standards, and client relationships that shape scale—high responsibility with high impact.
Join a team built on technical excellence, high decency, and responsible innovation.
