FULL JOB DESCRIPTION: Direct Support Professional (Caregiver / DSW)

@Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide care, Wednesday to Tuesday (9:00am- 5:00pm). The shift is one week on and one with off as well. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license along with valid and up to date auto Insurance/Registration/ & Inspection Sticker, to safely transport the consumer to doctor appointments.

We are looking to hire a candidate to assist with an elderly female consumer in the Delcambre area that needs assistance with light housekeeping shopping, cooking, and transportation to doctors' appointments.

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS: Direct Support Professional (Caregiver / DSW)

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Valid Driver’s License

Valid Up-To-Date Auto Insurance/Auto Registration/Auto Inspection Sticker

Working Cell Phone with Data Plan (Must be able to download company apps)

Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report
