Direct Service Worker (DSW) - Floater - AM/PM Shifts - Southwest La. Area, Region 5
Location: Lake Charles, LA (Serving Calcasieu, Cameron, Beauregard, Allen & Jefferson Davis)
Pay: $9.00 – $12.00 per hour (Based on consumer waiver and individual care needs)
Job Type: Part-time
Job Summary
Are you looking for a dynamic role that keeps you on the move? We are seeking a DSW Floater to support our consumers across the I-10 corridor, covering cases from Vinton to Jennings. This is a versatile position for someone who enjoys variety and is willing to travel to different homes to provide essential care during both AM and PM shifts.
Shift Details
Shift: Ability to work varying hours and shifts (AM/PM)
Days: Availability needs will be discussed during the interview based on current openings.
Core Responsibilities
Morning & Evening Support: Provide 1-on-1 assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and transfers.
Meal & Meds: Prepare meals (breakfast or dinner) and provide medication reminders.
Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment for consumers.
Reliable Coverage: Travel to various consumer homes as assigned to ensure consistent care.
Documentation: Maintain accurate daily progress notes for each individual served.
Requirements
Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
Documents: Valid Driver’s License and Social Security Card
Background: Must pass all state-mandated background checks and screenings.
Mobility: Must have a highly reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance/registration/inspection to travel between towns (Vinton, Sulphur, Lake Charles, Iowa, and Jennings).
Character: A patient, compassionate, and reliable work ethic.
