Direct Care Worker

This is a general training program and is open to all interested participants regardless of interest in employment at BAYADA and is for the benefit of the participant.

Qualifications:

• 40 hour commitment for direct care worker training offered at 1189 Highway 315 Suite 4 Wilkes-Barre PA 18702 location (Monday-Friday 9AM-5:00PM)

• 18 years of age or older

Training Curriculum Includes:

• Activities of daily living

• Light housekeeping

• Bathing

• Grooming

• Toileting

• Nail care

• Range of motion / exercises

• Transfers

• Oral feeding

• Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc.

• Assisting with ambulation

• Medication assistance
