We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Digital Construction QA/QC Shop Drawing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation, coordination, and quality control of shop drawings in support of digital construction workflows. You will work closely with BIM teams, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure all drawings meet project standards, specifications, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and produce high-quality shop drawings and construction documents using Revit and other BIM tools.
Conduct QA/QC inspections on shop drawings to ensure alignment with project specifications, codes, and design intent.
Revise and update design documents based on engineering markups, coordination results, or client feedback.
Interpret design drawings, technical specs, and diagrams to generate precise digital models/drawings.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, BIM coordinators, and contractors to resolve design issues and enhance constructability.
Ensure proper version control, file naming, and organization of all MEP drawing documentation.
Assist in preparing as-built MEP drawings, submittals, and related QA/QC documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in shop drawing production, QA/QC, or digital construction, preferably in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.
Strong proficiency in Revit (mandatory); knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, or BIM 360 is an advantage.
Solid understanding of construction documentation, detailing standards, and industry codes (e.g., NBC, ISO, ASME, or project-specific standards).
Experience in quality control processes, including mark-up tracking and drawing audits.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
