As Digital Product Owner - M&A&D and External Partners Engagement within our Digital team, you will join the digital engine driving Sanofi's transformation, where AI, automation, and bold experimentation power faster science and smarter decisions. In this role, you will own and deliver multiple digital products, such as the platforms, applications, and data solutions that enable Sanofi to identify, engage, and collaborate with startups, universities, research institutions, and innovation hubs worldwide, as well as facilitate smooth data transitions and other activities during mergers and acquisitions. This position requires demonstrated expertise in product ownership, Agile delivery, and outcome-driven product development.

Working within Sanofi's product-centric organization, you'll be part of cross-functional product teams (PODs) that operate in a fast-paced, Agile environment focused on iterative delivery and continuous improvement. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders, Scrum Masters, developers, and other product team members to deliver value through sprint-based development cycles.

A key initiative you will own is the Data Exchange Project for M&A&D, a product focused on helping M&A&D teams efficiently and securely transfer data and knowledge from external sources to Sanofi systems. This strategic project ranges from providing advisory services to implementing full infrastructure solutions, ensuring critical business data is seamlessly integrated during corporate transactions.

Reporting to the Digital Product Line Owner - External Partners Engagement in the M&A&D team within the Digital Launch & Market Support team, you will be responsible for managing specific products within the portfolio, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable product backlogs, and ensuring seamless delivery of solutions that foster innovation and enable strategic partnerships. You will collaborate with stakeholders across R&D External Engagement, M&A&D teams, business teams, development squads (including Scrum Masters, developers, and Business Analysts), and interface with global Digital core functions (Tech, Data/AI, Architecture, Cybersecurity) to deliver value-driven digital solutions.

Main Responsibilities

Product Ownership

• Own and manage multiple products within the R&D External engagement and M&A&D digital portfolios, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.

Backlog Management & Prioritization

• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog

• Define user stories, acceptance criteria,

• Conduct continuous backlog refinement sessions with development teams to ensure clarity and alignment.

• User Journey Mapping & End-to-End Experience Design - Creating seamless experiences across all touchpoints

Agile Execution & Delivery

• Work in iterative sprint cycles, as part of a POD

• Demonstrate Agile mindset through flexibility, adaptability, and continuous improvement.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partnering effectively with technical and business stakeholders

• Outcome-Driven Product Development - Focusing on business value and impact over feature delivery

• Set up DevOps practices as applicable- CI/CD pipelines, automated testing

• GxP Compliance & Quality Mindset - Applying quality & compliance principles in product delivery

Data Exchange Project Responsibilities

• Understand requirements and pain points of the M&A&D Digital team

• Evaluate and recommend optimal tools for data exchange / data tagging based on technical feasibility and needs.

• Implement tools and infrastructure to manage secure data transfers, managing access controls and data security throughout the transfer lifecycle.

• Use metrics and monitoring to continuously improve data transfer operations

• Keep everyone informed - update PLO, leadership, and stakeholders on progress, risks, and decisions

• Ensure we meet Sanofi's architecture standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity protocols

About You

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's a plus)

• 3+ years of experience in digital product ownership or related roles

• Experience on the pharmaceutical/biotech or healthcare related industry is required.

• Proven track record managing products through full lifecycle

Core Competencies

• Product & Agile: Experienced in Agile product delivery, lifecycle management

• Exposure or understanding of data platforms, cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, data flows, and integration patterns

• Business & Stakeholder Management: Strong business acumen; effective cross-functional collaboration

• Leadership: Results-oriented with proven ability to influence change, work in ambiguous environments, and manage diverse stakeholders

Additional Requirements

• Excellent communication skills - translate technical concepts for diverse audiences

• Experience in matrixed, multi-cultural, global organizations across time zones

• Business fluency in English required

• Team player comfortable in fast-paced, innovative environments

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with data platforms

• Experience delivering projects using AI

• Background as Technical Product Owner or Business Analyst

• Familiarity with JIRA and Agile tools

• GxP & Quality: Experienced applying quality principles and GxP compliance in pharmaceutical context

• Data & DevOps: Familiarity with data architecture, ETL processes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices

The salary range for this position is:

$133.500,00 - $192.833,33
