Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Digital Factory First Line Leader to join our BCA M&S Digital, Analytics, & Standards Performance & Strategy team in Everett, WA. This position is required to be 100% onsite. This position will require you to travel to the Renton, WA location on a weekly basis.
This is an opportunity to become a key member of a team responsible for transforming Boeing Commercial Airplane’s current production ecosystem, including requirements definition, pathfinding, large scale deployment, user feedback, and sustainment. We are passionate about cultivating the intersection of technology and business process to improve quality, safety, and flow within our factories.
This position will directly oversee a talented and cross-functional (direct and indirect) team responsible for leading application/capability development, the integration and deployment of multiple pathfinder and/or mature projects ready to scale across BCA.
Our team is currently hiring a Level K Digital Factory First Line Leader.
Position Responsibilities:
• Lead and develop employees responsible for developing, deploying, and operationalizing projects in alignment to BCA and Program priorities
• Develop, manage and provide plans, status, metrics and risks visibility to relevant stakeholders across Manufacturing, Quality, and IT.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous and complex issues with limited information in a timely manner.
• Define, align or improve BCA standard processes and define requirements for development teams
• Develop, integrate, standardize, govern, and enhance information sharing and reports.
• Ensure projects execute to plan, budget, scope, and success criteria
• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
• Develop and maintain relationships and open communication with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
• Integrate with partner organizations within BCA Manufacturing and Safety Core (workplace coaches, training, business intelligence team, LSCC, and more)
• Consult the business on current MES capabilities and policies to manage data access/integration requests.
• Collaborate with peers across Legacy MES Development, Quality and IT to develop and document business requirements for system enhancements and configuration changes.
• Contribute to Legacy MES release activities including testing, documentation, communication, training development and post-release support.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
• 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
• 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
• Experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Manufacturing data
• 1+ experience as proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• 1+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships/partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
• 5+ years of experience leading teams in customer support, operations, or business systems environments
• Experience leading highly skilled or technical teams
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
• Experience with collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams including technical and non-technical disciplines and various levels including Executives
• 5+ years of experience managing ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment in support of multiple organizations
