Digital and Social Media Specialist

As our Digital & Social Media Specialist, you’ll be the heartbeat of the Fairmont Pacific Rim’s digital persona capturing unscripted moments of magic, weaving legendary narratives, and breathing life into our brand across the global stage.

 

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you’ll act as a creative visionary, collaborating with Marketing, Public Relations, and our elite Operations team. You will be the architect of our organic social strategy, the curator of our online community, and the ultimate guardian of a brand presence that resonates with visual brilliance and effortless wit.

 What you will be doing:

• Architecting on-trend, high-impact content that is quintessentially Fairmont Pacific Rim.
• Curating and executing an organic social calendar that keeps us at the center of the cultural conversation.
•  Bridging the gap between global brand standards and raw, on-property storytelling turning luxury guidelines into real-world magic.
•  Serving as the guardian of our signature brand voice and visual aesthetic across every digital touchpoint.
•  Producing "editorial gold" copy, photography, and video for social, web, and high-fashion digital campaigns.
• Governing our social empire (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) with the savvy support of the Marketing and PR team.
• Strategizing with Marketing to set ambitious goals, dissect performance, and predict "the next big thing.”
• Partnering with Public Relations to host elite influencers and turn their visits into legendary content.
• Directing photo and video shoots from the first spark of a concept to the final, polished edit.
• Contributing your creative genius to the overarching Marketing & PR strategy throughout the year.
• Tackling miscellaneous assignments with the flair and finesse of a seasoned pro.

Your experience and skills include:

• Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or equivalent real-world experience
• Your storytelling is an art form; you instinctively grasp the difference between a high-end product and an elite experience.
• You possess a sharp, inspired voice and an uncompromising eye for editorial excellence
• Hands-on mastery of social landscapes and graphic design tools; you know how to make a grid look like a gallery.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• A poised, solutions-driven mindset that treats a high-velocity environment as an exhilarating playground rather than a frantic grind.
• Absolute comfort navigating Word, Excel, the intricacies of Opera, and the media-monitoring power of Cision.
• Strong collaboration skills and confidence working cross-functionally
• You have a genuine obsession with the art of hospitality and the magic of a well-told story

Your team and working environment:

You’ll join a dynamic, creative, and highly collaborative Marketing & Public Relations team at Fairmont Pacific Rim

You’ll collaborate closely with leaders across Food & Beverage, Spa & Wellness, Events, Sales, and the broader hotel operation, as well as with external partners such as photographers, videographers, and influencers. The team values creativity, agility, and fresh ideas, encouraging experimentation while maintaining brand excellence and consistency.
