Role Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team in a part-time basis. The Dietitian will play a vital role in promoting health and preventing or managing chronic diseases through evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and behavioural change. The dietitian will also work with individuals and groups in optimizing exercise performance. This role involves one-on-one patient counselling, shared medical appointments, planning and delivering nutrition talk and workshops, menu planning and close collaboration with physicians, exercise physiologists, health coaches, personal trainers and chefs.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive nutrition consultations/assessments using a whole person approach and equity lens
• Interpret health history and biometrics to establish baseline information and patients goals
• Develop individualised diet plans, partnering with stakeholders including health coaches and medical providers to assist patient in implementation of health plan and coordinating care
• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for patients with chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and metabolic syndrome
• Provide nutrition intervention to individuals and groups with the goals of optimise exercise performance, recovery and adaptation.
• Deliver sharing sessions through shared medical appointments, nutrition workshops, and cooking demonstrations as needed
• Support patients in adopting wholefood, plant-forward dietary patterns and other lifestyle changes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system
• Collaborate with our F&B Head Chef to:
1. Develop guidelines and recommendations for menu planning and developing aligned with Lifestyle Medicine principles
2. Qualitative and quantitively analysis of menu items
3. Co-create seasonal and condition-specific menu themes (e.g., heart-healthy, anti-inflammatory, fibre-rich, fermented foods)
• Stay current on research and developments in lifestyle medicine and nutrition science
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and assist in program development
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised university
• Preferred credentials: to be an Accredited Dietitian of Singapore (ADS) and member of the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA) or registered with a recognized overseas registration body (e.g., Dietitians Australia, HCPC UK, CDR USA), with eligibility for local practice and verification
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in outpatient, primary care, or lifestyle medicine settings.
• Experience with or openness to whole-food, plant- forward nutrition approaches aligned with lifestyle medicine principles.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering engaging health talks is a key requirement
• Experience in counselling patients of various ethnic backgrounds and with various dietary needs
Requirements:
