DIESEL MECHANIC (C2) 1 YEAR FTC (W33)

Namdeb Diamond Corporation invites interested individuals to be part of alluvial mining operations that offer unique challenges for professionals who wish to be part of a world-class operation.

The Challenge:

Responsible for the reliable, safe execution, quality maintenance, repairs, condition monitoring, fault-finding and component overhaul of diesel driven Earthmoving Equipment in accordance with OEM prescribed standards, regulations, procedures and methodologies to achieve optimum equipment availability, reliability and process efficiency objectives.

The Ideal Applicant:

• Grade 10 with Mathematics, Science and “E” in English (24 points).  AND
• Pre 1993 – Diesel Mechanic Trade Diploma with N2 Certificate, OR
• 1992 – 1994 – Level 4 Diesel Mechanic Trade Diploma with 4 theoretical subjects at Level 3, OR
• Post 1994 – Level 3 Diesel Mechanic trade certificate with a pass in at least 4 theoretical subjects at Level 3.
• The above Qualifications should be NTA accredited.
• Valid Code B Driver’s license (Manual Transmission).
• Computer literacy.
• Two (2) years post apprenticeship experience as a Diesel Mechanic Artisan in the mining industry.
• Preference will be given to candidates with at least two (2) years experience maintaining Volvo A60H articulated dump trucks.
