The Challenge

The Ideal Applicant

• Grade 10 (24 points over 7 subjects, and an E in English), with Mathematics and Science
• Vocational Training Level 3 certificate / N3.
• The above Qualifications should be NTA accredited.
• Eighteen (18) months demonstrated trade-related experience at B3 level in a Diesel Mechanic environment.
• Valid code B driver’s license  (Manual Transmission).
• Preference will be given to candidates with equipment specific OEM training and at least eighteen (18) months experience maintaining Volvo A60H articulated dump trucks.

• Knowledge of trade related equipment/apparatus with the ability to diagnose fault-find and repair the same.
• Ability to work alone and work as a team member.
• Ability to design and to interpret engineering drawings/schematics.
• Orientation with strong collaborative skills and the ability to make immediate and lasting organizational impacts.
• Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies that yield measurable business results.
• Good communication skills.
