What you’ll do

The Diagnostic Manager ensures the timely, high quality in-market companion diagnostics / testing solutions to enable optimal treatment throughout the patient journey. An important element of the Diagnostic Manager’s role is therefore to develop strategic and long-term partnerships with relevant oncology stakeholders and decision makers in the complex oncology ecosystem, based on a deep scientific understanding of diagnostic tests and the clinical operational issues on the testing pathway, enabling tailored testing solutions to be developed.

Typical Accountabilities:

• Translate high-level/cross-therapy diagnostics strategy into actionable strategic plans, tailored specifically for the assigned therapeutic area(s).

• Drive the implementation of diagnostics projects across the therapy area, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scientific standards are met.

• Build and maintain productive, trusted partnerships with therapy-specific stakeholders, such as pathologists, scientific officers, molecular biologists, KOLs, and clinical teams, facilitating regular feedback and alignment meetings.

• Monitor and evaluate project progress, collect comprehensive data, and ensure that lab and scientific stakeholder insights are systematically used for operational and strategic optimization.

• Mentor and coach Diagnostic Liaisons, promoting knowledge-sharing, skills-building, and professional development that keeps the field force agile and effective.

• Collaborate closely with medical and commercial teams to ensure diagnostics projects are integrated with broader therapy objectives.

• Lead efforts in evidence generation and reporting, contributing to publications, best practice development, and strategy adaptation that enhance diagnostics’ clinical and business value.

• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on patient impact and scientific excellence within the therapy area.

Qualifications

• Have a degree in medical or scientific field

• Have experience of broad range of oncology diagnostic, pathology, and therapeutic marketing

• Have Proven experience with a broad base of external stakeholders including prescribers, payers, providers and track record of effective management of decision-making bodies and governance

• Fluent English

• Have knowledge of healthcare environment or health economics is a plus

• Well-versed in therapy area diagnostic platforms, workflows, and emerging trends.
