Celesta, part of La Royale Group, is a fast-growing iGaming development company dedicated to building next-generation online sports betting and casino experiences. Based in Lisbon, our multidisciplinary team is committed to quality, innovation, and regulatory excellence, creating solutions that engage players and stand out in the highly competitive i-gaming regulated market.
We are looking for a DevOps Team Leader to join our Team in Lisbon!
The role should be based at the office in the Carnaxide area (up to 8 days per month remotely), and the first month is fully on-site.
Skills/knowledge required for the position
5+ years experience with Kubernetes and other container management solutions
Excellent understanding of microservices architecture
Proven experience of operational experience with public clouds (AWS, GCP or other), migrations, scaling operations etc.
In-depth knowledge of AWS services including ALB, VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, RDS, Route53. Experience in similar services for GCP is a plus
Experience with load balancers and Ingress controllers such as Ngnix, HAProxy, ALB, NLB
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
5+ years of Linux/UNIX administration experience
In depth understanding of Linux/UNIX fundamentals, including kernel subsystems, system calls, inter-process communication, process/resource management and file systems
Configuration management with deployment automation tools
Experience at least with two or three of monitoring services: DataDog, Newrelic, Prometheus and Grafana, CloudWatch or similar
Must be proficient in at least one scripting language
AWS Cloud Architect and/or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certifications is a plus
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills
Main job responsibilities
Analyze the technology currently being used and develops plans and processes for improvement and expansion
Approve code, implement processes, and improve deployment to streamline and speed up daily work
Manage development of automation tools, infrastructure as code and other infrastructure related necessities
Recommend performance enhancements by performing gap analysis, identifying alternative solutions, and assisting with modifications
Participate in project planning meetings to share the knowledge of system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits
Write specifications and documentation
Monitor and perform team leading duties of a small team of remote DevOps Engineers
