Role Summary

DevOps/Platform Engineers own the infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational reliability of the NX1 platform. They maintain and evolve the Kubernetes and OpenShift-based deployment infrastructure, manage Helm chart releases, build Terraform modules, and ensure the engineering team has the automation tooling needed to ship reliably and securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for NX1 platform releases

• Manage Kubernetes and OpenShift cluster configurations, operators, and deployment manifests

• Develop and maintain Helm charts and Terraform modules for NX1 component deployments

• Implement and maintain observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, alerting, and log aggregation

• Manage certificate lifecycle tooling (Venafi, cert-manager) and secrets management (Vault)

• Support Forward Engineering teams on deployment tooling and environment reproducibility

• Operate and maintain internal NX1 development and staging environments

• Drive platform security hardening, network policy, and compliance automation

Qualifications

• 5+ years DevOps or platform engineering experience

• Expert in Kubernetes and OpenShift including operators, CRDs, and RBAC

• Strong proficiency in Helm, Terraform, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD or Flux)

• Experience with HashiCorp Vault, Venafi, or comparable secrets/certificate management platforms

• Familiarity with big data platform infrastructure (Spark on K8s, Trino clusters)

• Experience with monitoring stack: Prometheus, Grafana, alerting and on-call processes

• Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash
