Position Overview

Kaseya is seeking an experienced and results-driven DevOps Manager to lead and mentor our DevOps team within Remote Monitoring and Management. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing the team’s daily operations and supporting the full development lifecycle. The DevOps Manager will collaborate closely with Product Management, QA, and Support teams. Expertise in Windows Server, AWS, and Azure is essential for driving our product roadmap and ensuring the highest standards of security, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, setting individual and team goals, conducting performance evaluations, and shaping career development plans.

• Oversee and drive cloud initiatives across account management, governance (including IAM Service Control Policies and other guardrails), security, cost optimization, modernization, and reliability/performance, ensuring compliance with cloud best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Establish and refine DevOps processes such as automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.

• Supervise and enhance system monitoring using solutions such as Prometheus, Telegraf, Grafana, and Zabbix, providing strategic direction on service availability and performance monitoring.

• Coordinate cross-functional efforts between NOC, Support, QA, and Engineering teams to maximize uptime, streamline incident response, and maintain patch compliance, while providing escalated (L5) support for the RMM product line as needed.

• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies—including endpoint protection, vulnerability management, patching policies, redundancy plans, and disaster recovery procedures.

• Oversee Cloudflare, Load Balancer, and other Firewall and CDN configurations to ensure optimal security and performance.

• Lead root cause analysis and post-incident improvement initiatives, and create dashboards and reports for uptime and performance visibility.

• Document operational procedures and technical runbooks, and collaborate with leadership on capacity planning, scaling, and operational roadmaps.

• Effectively communicate technical concepts, project statuses, and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Partner with HR and Talent teams for recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top engineering talent.

Required Technical Skills and Experience

• 4+ years as a DevOps Manager leading teams in a fast-paced environment

• 4+ years administering and operating MS Windows Server

• 4+ years working with AWS Services including CloudFront, Load Balancers, and Firewalls

• 3+ years administering VMware ESX(i)

• Experience configuring and using Observability Tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Telegraf, Cloudflare Analytics, Zabbix) in a 24/7 operations environment

• Proficiency with Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, PowerShell, Python scripting)

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, especially GitLab or similar pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation

• Expertise in systems administration (Linux and Windows Server), networking fundamentals, DNS, and load balancing

• Strong ability to create clear technical runbooks, policies, and executive summaries

• Demonstrated leadership, self-motivation, accountability, adaptability to changing requirements, and ability to manage teams with minimal supervision

• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially in complex or ambiguous situations

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
