On behalf of Stage Entertainment, GT is looking for a DevOps Engineer.
About the Client
Stage Entertainment is one of Europe’s leading live entertainment companies, known for producing large-scale musicals and operating high-traffic ticketing platforms across multiple countries.
Over the past few years, the company has been investing in building its internal technology capabilities, including backend systems, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
As part of this transformation, Stage Entertainment is now bringing DevOps capabilities fully in-house to gain ownership, scalability, and long-term control over their platform.
About the Role
Commitment: Full-time / Part-time
Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)
Start: ASAP
This is a high-impact, time-sensitive role focused on rebuilding and stabilizing the company’s DevOps environment.
You will collaborate with internal engineering teams across the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain, including backend developers, system engineers, and integration specialists.
You will also work alongside stakeholders responsible for infrastructure and delivery, helping establish long-term DevOps ownership within the organization.
Responsibilities:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will take ownership of rebuilding and optimizing the DevOps setup in a complex, high-load environment
Infrastructure Assessment & Transition
• Analyze existing Azure infrastructure, Terraform configurations, and Kubernetes environments
• Reverse-engineer or redesign CI/CD pipelines currently managed by an external vendor
• Define the best approach for rebuilding or replicating the existing setup
• Provide recommendations around ownership, architecture, and transition strategy
CI/CD & Automation
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub → Azure)
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using Terraform and scripting
• Ensure full ownership, documentation, and maintainability of pipelines
Cloud & Platform Engineering
• Manage and optimize Azure services and Kubernetes clusters
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of production systems
• Apply best practices around infrastructure, deployment, and system stability
Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer
• Work closely with backend engineers, system engineers, and integration teams
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to support long-term in-house ownership
• Support the transition towards a fully internal DevOps capability
Project Delivery
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet deadlines
• Participate in regular syncs and provide progress updates
Essential knowledge, skills & experience:
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Azure Cloud
• Terraform
• Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python)
• Experience working with or rebuilding infrastructure
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex problems
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent English
Nice-to-have:
• Experience in live entertainment, ticketing, or e-commerce industries
• Familiarity with European data protection and IP regulations
