Job Description
Basic Purpose & Responsibilities
Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in CI/CD, cloud platforms, automation, and infrastructure management for mission-critical trading applications (FORTE). Analyzes, designs, implements, and maintains end-to-end DevOps pipelines, infrastructure, and monitoring solutions to support business units and ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of systems
Requires knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, Ansible, cloud platforms (AWS), monitoring tools (Grafana/Prometheus), scripting, containerization, MQ, Kafka, and DevOps best practices.
Nice to Have:
React JS, Unix, Shell Scripting, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Quartz Scheduling, Spring Batch, and NoSQL experience
Expected to spend 100% of the time on hands-on DevOps engineering, automation, and platform enablement. Designs and implements scalable CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks to minimize manual effort, failures, and business impact. Responsible for system reliability, monitoring, issue resolution, communication, and escalation of critical technical issues.
Develops and maintains automation scripts, infrastructure configurations, and deployment frameworks. Prepares system documentation, runbooks, and operational guides. Identifies and recommends industry best practices for DevOps, automation, and cloud operations. Serves as a mentor to junior engineers and promotes DevOps culture across teams.
Worked in complex, deadline-driven environments with minimal supervision. Ability to architect, design, and implement DevOps solutions with minimal requirements by effectively coordinating activities between business analysts, developers, QA teams, platform teams, and managers.
Ability to provide agile status updates on day-to-day DevOps and release pipeline activities.
Technical Skills
Experienced, highly skilled in the following technologies at a lead and developer level:
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket), Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform), Cloud (AWS), Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), Git, SonarQube, Kafka, MQ, scripting languages, and other open-source DevOps tools
End-to-end understanding of software delivery lifecycle including build, integration, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
Strong practical experience using Scrum, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
Continuous integration, build automation, test automation, release orchestration, and deployment experience.
Ability to understand system architecture and ensure reliability, scalability, and observability of distributed systems.
Experience building environment setups, platform standards, architecture guidelines, and DevOps blueprints.
