DevOps Engineer | Investment Solutions

Job Summary:

The DevOps Engineer, based in Athens, will support the deployment, reliability, and operational excellence of our Investment Management software solutions. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for on-premises installations on virtual machines, cloud-based deployments via CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), continuous monitoring of system performance and logs, and providing first-level technical support to clients. This role combines infrastructure management, automation, system monitoring, and operational support. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where reliability and client satisfaction are critical.

What You Will Do:

• Own and execute on-premises software installations and upgrades on virtual machines (VM environments).
• Design, maintain, and optimize cloud-based deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Automate build, deployment, and release processes to ensure consistent and reliable software delivery.
• Monitor system health, application logs, performance metrics, and availability across client environments.
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks, security risks, and infrastructure issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure-related incidents, providing first-level technical support to clients.
• Collaborate closely with Software Developers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, and IT teams to ensure smooth releases and stable environments.
• Maintain documentation for installation procedures, deployment workflows, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Ensure environments meet security, compliance, and operational best practices.
• Participate in release planning and coordinate production deployments.

Requirements:
· BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

· 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, infrastructure engineering, or a related role.

· Strong experience with: Virtual machine environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar), CI/CD pipelines.

· Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., application logs, performance monitoring, alerting systems).

· Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security principles, and system architecture.

· Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) for automation tasks.

· Experience with SQL and database deployments will be considered an asset.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Highly organized, methodical, and detail-oriented.

· Hands-on, results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
