DevOps Engineer II (GCP, CI/CD, SRE)

Why this role matters:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer II for our Jumper AI Conversational Commerce team to support the reliability, scalability, and delivery velocity of backend and frontend services running on Google Cloud Platform. This role focuses on operating and improving CI CD pipelines built using a Hub and Spoke model with GitHub Actions, managing cloud infrastructure, and supporting SRE practices for production systems. You will work closely with application engineers, platform teams, and SREs to ensure services are deployed safely, monitored effectively, and optimized for performance and cost.

Your key responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, following a Hub-and-Spoke model with reusable workflows.

• Support and operate services on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).

• Improve pipeline reliability, performance, and developer experience, including build, test, security, and deployment workflows.

• Support production operations with a focus on availability, latency, and reliability, including participation in on-call rotations.

• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting, and assist in incident response and post-incident reviews.

• Automate operational tasks and improve deployment, rollback, and environment consistency across dev, staging, and production.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve DevOps standards, platform reliability, and shared tooling.

What you'll bring

• 3 - 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.

• Strong working knowledge of Linux and cloud-based production environments.

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform services and cloud-native operations.

• Understanding of DevOps and SRE principles, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management.

• Experience scripting or automating tasks using Bash, Python, or similar languages.

• Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to continuously learn and improve.

Experience we consider a plus:

• Experience with containerized workloads and container-based deployments.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code or configuration management tools.

• Exposure to security, compliance, or quality checks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with cost optimization and performance tuning in cloud environments.
