DevOps Engineer (Deployment Team)

Job Overview

Wargaming is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join our Deployment team.

We are responsible for our game servers throughout their lifecycle, including various infrastructure services related to our games. We offer a great opportunity to become a reliable member of our team and take ownership of incident resolution, consulting on the production environment, deployment and configuration automation, and other day-to-day operational tasks. We help maintain the stability and reliability of global services and operations across all our games, serving 100M+ players worldwide.

Reports to

Engineering Manager

What will you do?

•
Be responsible for the availability, performance, security and reliability of our games and supporting infrastructure around them throughout the service lifecycle

•
Optimize and tune our high-load services

•
Participate in incident management and resolution

•
Maintain and improve automation for build, deployment, and other processes required for our games and related services

What are we looking for?

•
Professional experience with Linux systems and system administration tasks

•
Development experience with Python (automation scripts, frameworks such as FastAPI for internal services)

•
Experience using Bash for routine operations and automation

•
Work experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)

•
Understanding of containerization and hands-on experience with Docker/Podman

•
Understanding of orchestration systems and experience with Kubernetes

•
Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and experience with tools (TeamCity, GitLab CI, Jenkins)

•
Work experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

•
Work experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible)

•
Work experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

•
Work experience with configuration and secret management systems (Consul, Vault)

•
Work experience with various monitoring systems (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana)

•
Experience debugging applications at the system and network level

•
Understanding how modern systems and network protocols work

•
Understanding of DevOps and SRE methodologies

•
Spoken English (Intermediate+) for team communication

What additional skills will help you stand out?

Expertise in building large-scale, high-volume, secure, efficient, and resilient production environments

•
Hands-on experience with AWS services
