Based in Bangalore, India recently relocated to a new office at The Hive Workspaces, Prestige Tech Platina, the India team plays a critical role in delivering Oracle Retail implementations, upgrades, and 24/7 global support across all OLR regions. Our teams work closely with teams in Europe, North America and Latin America to provide end-to-end Oracle Retail systems integration, application support, and continuous optimisation for global retail operations.

Our Bangalore-based professionals are deeply involved in large-scale Oracle Retail implementations, cloud migrations, system upgrades, and omnichannel transformation programs, helping global retailers scale, modernise and remain future-ready in a rapidly evolving retail landscape.

The Role

The Developer - Oracle Retail Xstore POS is responsible for providing software and retail industry technical product knowledge to facilitate the successful enhancement of our Stores projects. The successful candidate will have experience in XStore/Micros/Stores functions.

In this role, you’ll:

Review and conduct an assessment of information systems needs and recommend an appropriate infrastructure solution

Design and implement applications and enhancements using JAVA code

Maintain and enhance applications per client request

Assist with defining and implementing regression test suites

Frequently analyse and define client data conversion, interface, and application enhancement requirements

Translate business requirements into technical solutions

Establish and monitor systems support and development in a Micros environment

Perform application enhancements and modifications, while mentoring and teaching other consultants

Facilitate the logging, reporting, and resolution of application issues as needed

Participate in supporting the production environment as necessary

Regularly assist in the definition of implementation and integration alternatives

Intermittently perform go-live assessments to determine the readiness of the system, as well as client and support teams

Often provide knowledge transfer to necessary 3rd-party vendors (hardware, software, etc.) related to Oracle Retail and OLR applications and requirements.

Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

Prior to Micros/Stores/POS implementation experience

2+ years of development and/or systems integration experience preferred

2+ years in the Retail industry or an associated Retail IT field preferred

Previous consulting experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to the Cloud application and setup

Oracle Retail RMS

Batch monitoring applications like Appworx, Automic, or POM
