The Role

We are seeking a native Chinese-speaking Developer Relations Engineer to expand our developer ecosystem across Asia, with a particular focus on China — the largest market for blockchain builders, exchanges, and token adoption.

This role combines technical integration support, community evangelism, and localized documentation. You’ll serve as the bridge between developers, business partners, and our engineering teams, ensuring builders in the Chinese-speaking ecosystem can successfully adopt and deploy on Horizen.

This position requires both technical depth (especially in ZK and adjacent privacy technologies like TEE, MPC, and FHE) and strong communication skills. You will not only produce localized content and documentation, but also work hands-on with developers and business partners to integrate our technology into real-world applications.

What You’ll Own

Community Building & Evangelism

• Drive adoption of Horizen across Chinese-speaking developer communities.

• Organize and represent the foundation at hackathons, meetups, and blockchain club events in Asia.

• Act as the public face of our technology in the region through talks, online engagement, and video content.

Technical Integration & Support

• Provide hands-on support to developers and BD partners integrating our technology into their applications.

• Assist with grant program recipients to ensure quality delivery of funded projects.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and fill gaps in tooling and developer resources.

Content & Documentation

• Translate and localize technical documentation, tutorials, and educational resources into Chinese.

• Produce high-quality guides, sample code, and video tutorials tailored for the local developer audience.

• Ensure developers have clear, accurate, and accessible resources to get started.

Partnerships & Advocacy

• Work closely with the BD team to support enterprise and ecosystem partners.

• Advocate for developer needs internally, influencing product direction and tool improvements.

• Build relationships with universities, blockchain clubs, and training partners across Asia.

Qualifications

• Native or fluent Chinese speaker, with strong English communication skills.

• 5+ years total experience in blockchain, developer relations, technical evangelism, or related engineering roles.

• 2+ years hands-on experience with Zero-Knowledge proofs (ZK) or adjacent privacy technologies (TEE, MPC, FHE).

• Ability to produce technical content (docs, tutorials, sample code, videos) for developers.

• Hands-on development experience (Rust, Solidity, or other blockchain-relevant languages).

• Experience engaging with developer communities through events, hackathons, or online channels.

• Willingness to travel across Asia for community and partner engagements.
