Desktop Support Technician

Key Responsibilities

End-User Support

• Provide day-to-day technical support for end users, resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues in a Windows environment.
• Use Microsoft Intune for endpoint security, device management, application deployment, and compliance enforcement.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including device setup using Autopilot (where applicable).

Microsoft Technologies

• Maintain and troubleshoot Windows operating systems to ensure reliability and security.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Assist with user and device management in Azure Active Directory (AAD).

IT Operations & Collaboration

• Work with regional and global IT teams to ensure consistent implementation of corporate IT standards.
• Participate in small to medium-scale IT initiatives and improvements related to Microsoft technologies.

Server & Network (Basic Exposure Advantage)

• Have a foundational understanding of server concepts and basic network troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams when server or network issues impact end-user operations.

Documentation

• Create and maintain accurate documentation for support procedures, device configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Ensure timely and detailed updates on support tickets and resolutions.

Security & Compliance

• Follow security best practices in all systems and support activities.
• Support compliance with company IT policies and information security standards.
• Experience with security audits (e.g., ISAE, ISO 27001) is an advantage.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work beyond standard office hours when necessary (e.g., critical incidents, updates, global coordination).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Proactive in learning new technologies and adapting to changes.

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• Proven work experience as an IT Support Engineer or Desktop Engineer is an advantage.
• Fluent in Japanese (local language).
• Capable of communicating in English effectively when working with global teams.
• Hands-on experience with:

• o Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Management
• o Azure Active Directory
• o Microsoft 365
• o Windows OS support
• o Autopilot (preferred)

• Basic understanding of servers and networks is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
