Proferro is part of Picanol Group, a business unit of Tessenderlo Group (Euronext: TESB).
Proferro specializes in manufacturing mechanical castings and machining.
Would you like to help shape the future of high‑quality castings? We are looking for a Designer who loves drawing, thinking along, and collaborating with colleagues and customers to create smart, production‑oriented solutions.
 
In this role, you are the link between design and production. You:
• design and draw foundry tools (pattern plates, core boxes, gauges) ensuring optimal quality and efficiency;
• actively collaborate with customers in a co‑design process;
• take ownership of castings with high scrap rates and help find sustainable solutions;
• support all production departments to improve quality and reduce scrap;
• calculate and communicate production parameters;
• inspect new tools before trial production;
• follow training in casting techniques, CAD/CAM and safety.
You are energized by designing, improving and collaborating. Additionally:
• you have a technical background or a strong interest in foundry technology;
• you can create 3D designs or are willing to learn;
• you work accurately and solution‑oriented;
• you communicate well with colleagues and external partners;
• you speak Dutch; knowledge of French or English is an asset.
