About the Fire Protection Designer
Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Protection Designer to join our Fire Protection Group. Join our team of highly skilled fire protection professionals and learn all aspects from design to installation!
The Fire Protection Designer will play a key role in creating precise and accurate technical drawings using computer-aided design software. Their responsibilities will include collaborating with engineers and other professionals to develop designs, ensuring compliance with specifications, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.
What You'll Do:
Read, interpret, and coordinate building plans
Prepare basic shop drawings & hydraulic calculations with the assistance of a more experienced designer
Coordinate simple wet sprinkler systems with assistance
Attend coordination & project meetings
Learn applicable NFPA standards and local codes
Prepare field installation drawings and prefabrication report
Field measure existing conditions
Stock list/prefabricate CPVC piping
Prepare record drawings
Education & Experience
Bachelors’ degree required or equivalent work experience
Years Experience: 0 - 5 years
Required Skills
AutoCAD/HydraCAD/Navisworks/Revit/Bluebeam
Microsoft Suite
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated effective presentation skills
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage shifting priorities
