Why Quvia?
Founded in 2019, Quvia is a fast-growing, Series A tech startup passionate about making connectivity and digital experiences better for everyone, everywhere.
Our industry-first solutions are already addressing major challenges for companies in the aviation and cruise industries – and we're just getting started.
Quvia is headquartered in the greater Miami region, with offices in the UK and India, and remote teams around the world.
As an early-stage company, all Quvia employees have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our growth trajectory, and the future of the industries we serve.

About the Role
Quvia is seeking a Design Systems Designer to build and improve our design system infrastructure—both in Figma and in code. This role requires deep expertise in component architecture, design tokens, and documentation for complex enterprise products, along with the frontend skills to bring those designs to life in our Storybook component library.
This is a hands-on, hybrid role. You'll define the visual language for cross-vertical consistency creating variables, components, and documentation.
What You'll Do
Design and document reusable components in Figma with proper variants, variables, and usage guidelines
Build and maintain the corresponding React components in our Storybook library
Refactor existing components for improved consistency, accessibility, and performance
Define and implement design tokens, theming architecture, and density systems across Figma and code
Optimize component and UI performance where needed
Create comprehensive Storybook documentation including usage examples, props tables, and interaction states
Collaborate with product designers and frontend engineers to evolve the system based on real product needs
What You'll Need
Design Experience
5+ years in product design, with 2+ years focused specifically on design systems
Proven track record building and scaling design systems for B2B or enterprise products
Strong background in data-visualization interfaces, including charts, dashboards, status indicators, and color semantics
Figma Skills
Expert-level proficiency: libraries, variables (collections, modes, aliases), component architecture, auto-layout, variants, and file organization at scale
Advanced interaction design: defining states, transitions, flows, and edge cases for engineering handoff
Frontend Skills
Solid React and TypeScript experience—you can build, refactor, and debug components confidently
Experience with Storybook: writing stories, documenting components, and organizing a component library
Understanding of CSS, styling approaches, and UI performance considerations
Systems Thinking
Ability to design reusable, maintainable components aligned with engineering constraints
Experience documenting usage guidelines, naming conventions, versioning rules, and governance processes
Nice to Have
Experience with MUI (Material UI) specifically
Background in data-heavy or enterprise applications
