Role Overview 
We are looking for a highly creative and experienced Lead Designer to drive the visual direction and execution of SiGMA’s global event branding and marketing initiatives. Based in Malta, this role combines hands-on design expertise with strong leadership capabilities, managing and mentoring both local and remote creative team members across multiple international markets. 

You will oversee the development of impactful digital, print, motion, and event branding assets while ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation across all SiGMA touchpoints. From large-scale expo environments and sponsor activations to digital campaigns and brand storytelling, you will play a key role in elevating the SiGMA visual identity on a global stage. 

The ideal candidate is a strong visual communicator with excellent design instincts, proven team leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment. 

Responsibilities 

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of designers across local and remote offices, fostering creativity, collaboration, and high performance. 

Drive the creative vision and execution for SiGMA’s global expos, conferences, and marketing campaigns.  

Collaborate closely with Events, Marketing, Video, and Content teams to deliver cohesive and impactful visual experiences.  

Oversee the creation of high-quality digital and print assets including banners, stage visuals, social campaigns, presentations, motion graphics, and sponsor branding.  

Ensure brand consistency and visual excellence across all SiGMA touchpoints and international events.  

Manage and review design workflows, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest creative standards.  

Guide the visual execution of key expo features including conference stages, media lounges, VIP areas, award ceremonies, photowalls, and branded activations.  

Coordinate with external vendors, printers, and production partners to ensure accurate and timely delivery of assets.  

Support and oversee on-site branding implementation during international events when required.  

Present creative concepts and design rationale clearly to stakeholders, senior management, and cross-functional teams.  

Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution across multiple simultaneous projects.  

Stay ahead of industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously evolve SiGMA’s creative output.  

Qualifications: 

Proven experience (5+ years) in Graphic Design, Creative Design, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior creative position.  

Strong portfolio showcasing high-level design work across digital, print, branding, and event environments.  

Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring design teams in both local and remote settings.  

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Motion design skills are considered a strong asset.  

Experience in event branding, large-scale expos, conferences, or experiential design is highly preferred.  

Strong understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and production processes for print and large-format graphics.  

Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders in fast-paced environments.  

Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.  

Ability to provide creative direction while remaining hands-on with design execution.  

Experience collaborating with external vendors, printers, and production houses.  

Familiarity with Bannerflow or similar campaign management platforms is considered an asset.  

Experience within the iGaming industry is a plus.
