The Role

We're looking for a Design Engineer to join our growing product team — someone who lives at the intersection of design and code, and ships production UI to enterprise customers.

Our model is intentionally inverted: engineering builds the POC or MVP first, and you make it production-ready. Other times you'll propose a greenfield design solution for engineering to implement. The boundaries between design and engineering are blurred on purpose — you should be comfortable on both sides.

This is a senior IC role, reporting directly to the Head of Product & Design. No people management.

What you'll do

• Take engineering POCs and MVPs and turn them into polished, production-ready experiences

• Propose greenfield design solutions for new flows, hand off to engineering, or ship them yourself

• Work directly in the production codebase — React, TypeScript, modern UI tooling

• Use AI-native workflows to translate designs into code and accelerate everything you ship

• Partner closely with PMs, engineers, and customers to articulate problems clearly and move fast

• Help shape and grow the design system as the product scales

• Hold a high quality bar across UX, visual craft, and the code that ships

What we're looking for

You'll be someone who:

• Comes from product design: Deep product design experience from a traditional product, engineering, design triad — strong on user empathy, problem framing, and shipping great UX. Designer-turned-engineer profile, not a traditional engineer.

• Comfortable in production code: You're not shy of opening a PR. You can dive into a production codebase, ship UI to production, and work fluently with frontend tooling.

• Lives in AI-native workflows: You use AI tools daily to translate designs into code and to compound your output.

• Owns outcomes end-to-end: IC who thrives on ownership — clear problems and the freedom to solve them.

• Embraces blurred lines: Comfortable with the inversion model and the messy edges between design and engineering.

Required:

• Strong product design background with a track record of shipping production B2B or enterprise product

• Comfort working in production code — React, TypeScript, and modern UI tooling

• Some exposure to complex B2B workflows or power-user tools

Nice to have:

• Experience designing for AI-driven, agentic, or automation products

• Background in design systems and design-to-production models
