Role Summary
The Design Engineer – Formwork is responsible for producing accurate, timely, and compliant formwork designs that support factory production and project requirements. The role contributes to the delivery of shell plans, formwork drawings, and associated design outputs in line with agreed programmes, standards, and specifications.
Key Accountabilities
• Prepare formwork designs, drawings, and related documentation in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
• Deliver shell plans and formwork drawings in line with agreed production schedules and deadlines.
• Ensure designs comply with approved specifications, drawings, and production constraints.
• Coordinate with Business Development and internal stakeholders to support drawing preparation and submissions.
• Support the effective use of design tools, software, and equipment required to perform assigned duties.
• Maintain accurate, orderly, and up-to-date records of all design documentation.
• Protect the confidentiality of all company information, documentation, and design data.
• Proactively raise design issues, clashes, or constraints to the appropriate line manager.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, standards, and ways of working.
Authority & Responsibility
• Responsible for the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of assigned design outputs.
• Accountable for managing personal workload in line with project and production priorities.
• Required to follow established procedures and escalate issues that may impact quality, safety, cost, or programme.
General
• Maintain professional conduct and good housekeeping within the design office.
• Use company equipment, software, and systems responsibly and in accordance with policy.
• Work flexibly to support business and project needs when required.
• Undertake any other duties reasonably related to the role as assigned by Management.
