Job Description
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your mission: Design the tools that build the future. At the cutting edge of aerospace manufacturing, you’ll develop high-precision equipment and intelligent solutions for our production of advanced components – from winding tools for composites to CNC-ready fixtures.
• Develop & design smart tools: Design production equipment such as pressing and winding tools for fibre-reinforced plastics and metallic components.
• Create technical drawings: Generate standard-compliant individual part and assembly drawings – with clean geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Choose materials with intent: Select materials based on performance, efficiency and manufacturability – always with a mindset for lean and robust design.
• Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with development and manufacturing teams to turn great ideas into production-ready tools.
• Own your designs: Ensure your concepts are not only functional and ergonomic, but also cost-effective and easy to implement on the shopfloor.
YOUR PROFILE:
• A solid foundation: Completed training as a design engineer, technical product designer, state-certified technician in mechanical engineering or a related degree
• On the job experience: You have hands-on experience in designing fixtures, tooling, or special-purpose machinery – and you know what matters in day-to-day industrial operations.
• Drawing and CAD confidence: Skilled in creating technical drawings and using modern CAD tools. Experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
• Manufacturing mindset: Familiar with production processes such as CNC machining (milling, turning), and design for manufacturability is second nature.
• Curiosity & drive: You love solving problems, exploring new technologies and designing elegant, practical solutions.
• Strong communication: Fluent in English, both in the workshop and with cross-functional teams. German is a bonus.
• Composites experience (nice to have): Familiarity with fibre-reinforced plastics and their processing methods gives you an edge.
WHAT WE OFFER:
• Creative freedom & responsibility: Autonomy, scope for decision-making and short implementation paths.
• Flexible working hours & remote option: You can work remotely by arrangement.
• Culinary variety: Lunch together with fresh, varied dishes every day.
• Attractive additional benefits: Choose between Deutschlandticket, EGYM-Wellpass or a monthly top-up payment card (Givve Card).
• Knowledge exchange at the highest level: Work with experienced engineers and experts from the aerospace industry.
• Dynamic environment: Exciting projects, development opportunities and a start-up atmosphere with agile, cross-functional collaboration.
• Community & team spirit: Monthly blackout events for socialising, networking and exchange.
• Unique working atmosphere: Enjoy the end of the working day on our large roof terrace with a view of the Alps!
