Position Overview
We are seeking a Design Drafter who brings accuracy, curiosity, and craftsmanship to every project. In this role, you will transform engineering concepts into precise 2D and 3D models that guide the manufacturing of custom metal tubing assemblies and mechanical components. Your work directly supports our production floor, engineering team, and the high‑performance standards our customers expect from Mundo‑Tech.
This is a hands‑on, impact‑driven role where attention to detail truly matters.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and customer requirements to produce accurate, manufacturable designs
Collaborate closely with engineers, machinists, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and precision
Maintain and update drawing documentation in alignment with industry and Mundo‑Tech standards
Support product development through drawing revisions, design updates, and engineering change processes
Assist in generating BOMs, assembly instructions, and other technical documentation
Operate and maintain 3D printers to support prototyping and production needs
Perform laser scanning and reverse engineering of components to support legacy and new‑build projects
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or certification in Mechanical Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field
Proficiency in Fusion 360, NX, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong understanding of GD&T, mechanical design principles, and drafting standards
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Experience with 3D printing or additive manufacturing is a plus
