Deputy Finance Manager- Iraq

Bank of Jordan is seeking a proactive and experienced Deputy Finance Manager for our operations in Iraq. This critical leadership role involves supporting the Finance Manager in overseeing all financial activities within the region, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving the implementation of the bank's financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the financial reporting and analysis processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements for the Iraq region.
• Support the Finance Manager in developing and overseeing the annual budget and forecasts.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and evaluate financial implications.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks.
• Supervise and mentor finance staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management related to financial performance and forecasts.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations in Iraq.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis within the banking or financial services industry.
• Excellent analytical skills with a track record of developing financial models and forecasts.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication abilities in both English and Arabic, with proficiency in preparing reports and presentations.
• High level of integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while delivering high-quality results.
