Dental Hygienist

Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team and help promote oral health through preventive care, education, and clinical services. As a Dental Hygienist, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed dentist, perform dental hygiene procedures, and support community dental health education initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct patient assessments including medical history, dental charting, and periodontal evaluations.

Perform oral health evaluations and identify signs of periodontal disease or oral cancers. 

Take and process dental radiographs. 

Carry out hygiene procedures such as prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications. 

Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care. 

Assist in emergency situations during patient treatment. 

Participate in community dental health clinics and outreach programs. 

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. 

Ensure compliance with infection control. HIPAA, and safety protocols. 

Qualifications: 

Education: Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program. Current Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of NC. CPR and radiation safety certification.

Experience: 5+ years of dental hygiene experience or 4000 hours of prophylaxis/debridement under dentist supervision preferred.
